Autocraft-Central has been in operation since November 2011, and by means of earned reputation and client recommendations continually builds an ever increasing loyal customer base.
Autocraft-Central is jointly owned by Stephen O'Donoghue and Andrew Erith, both certified technicians bringing between them 48 years’ experience within the motor industry.
Operating from a fully equipped, modern workshop, Autocraft-Central is certified by the New Zealand Transport Agency.

When Steve is working on your motor vehicle, you can rest in the fact you have a highly qualified technician with 44 years’ industry experience maintaining your car.
Steve first started his apprenticeship in 1970 with General Motors Dealership, T Wagg & Co Ltd, Masterton, and by 1975 had obtained his Advanced Trade Certificate.
In 1979 Steve worked for John Dyke Ford as Service Advisor, and in 1980 become Service Manager for Linn Motors, Paeroa. Steve moved back to Tauranga in 1981 and spent the following 6 years as Service Manager for Westbay Motor Company. Steve then started Summit Service Centre, Tauranga, and remained there for 14 years before moving to Sydenham Motor Company where he spent the following 9 years as Service Manager.
2010-2011 saw Steve work for a short time as Vehicle Compliance Officer with VTNZ, and as a Technician with Tauranga Peugeot.
2012 Steve open Autocraft Central in co-ownership with Andy Erith. Steve brings enormous knowledge to the business through his experience with vehicle franchises such as General Motors, Ford, Subaru, Deawoo, Mazda, Issuzu, Suzuki, Citroen and Peugeot. His immense knowledge guarantees high quality workmanship on all vehicles serviced and repaired at Autocraft Central.
Steve’s interests are his Family, Photography and Motor Sports.

Andy began his career within the motor industry in 1998 as an apprentice with Suburban Garage where he gained his National Certificate, and Vehicle Compliance Officer for Warrant of Fitness Testing.
In 2012 Andy opened, along with co-owner Steve O'Donoghue, Autocraft Central.
Along with his motor servicing and repair qualifications, Andy has also gained valuable experience in servicing motor vehicle air conditioning units. With the majority of vehicles now fitted with air, this knowledge ensures correct and professional air conditioning fitting, service and repairs.
Andy’s interest includes his family and young son, and outside of this enjoys motor sports. He is currently building an RX7 for track racing, and enjoys going to track day rides on his Aprilia RS 250 motor cycle.
Andy is a person of excellent character which ensures all people he deals with can expect absolute honesty and fairness in their working relationship, and association with him.
